| Happy New Year everyone~ Welcome to 2008.

| Wow, I should really update this thing sometime.

| Last few hours at YingPan.. It feels a little strange to think that I'll be leaving my home of three years. Okay, more than a little strange.. I'm really going to miss this place, mostly because of the people here. Wow, lot's of memories. Anyway, today was great. A lot of cleaning and packing, but we still had time for fun. Vivian, Daisy, Angel, Eddie, Eddie's sister Sandy, and Iris, former students at a school I taught at, came over to make tacos and play games. Way too much fun. Tracy and her family also came over. I'm so glad we were able to see them again. I'm really going to miss so many people.. I'd better get some sleep before I start blabbering on. Camps are coming up, really fast, and I could use a lot of sleep. Kinda been missing out on that for a few weeks/months. Should be fun. Remember the family and friends of Jon-E, there will be a memorial service for him tomorrow. Lots of great memories to be shared, I'm sure. However, because our camps will start this weekend, most of our team will not be able to make it to Hualian for the service. So, help us pray for them.
In Christ,
~Joel

| Last week, one of our dear friends went to be with the Lord.
Jon-E will be missed greatly by so many people. His teammates, students, and the teachers he worked with. He invested so much time and effort to build relationships with those around him. May his death cause others to find the path of Life.
Though we don't know why things like this happen, we do know someone who does.
May the Peace of Christ be with his family and friends. We will miss him a lot.

| Well, as my last few months in Taiwan are coming to an end, I just realized it has been almost 3 years from when I first came. And almost 3 months from when I last updated.. oops.. Tomorrow marks the start of a new year in my life, and I pray that this next year will bring growth in many areas. It should be fun. As long as this has been, I should hit the sack before my birthday comes.. but first, today was really special. I got to school, and instead of teaching, the whole school got together in the AV room and had a birthday/going away party for me. I have a ton of cards (well, there are only 70+ students in the school, but that's a lot of cards :P ), and a wonderful memory. It was kind of sad, okay it was very sad, thinking of the fact that after this semester I will not see them for a very long time.. *sigh* May the Lord be with them always, and may the efforts of those working in Christ's name be rewarded richly. All in all, I felt very special to see how much the whole school cares about me. I really love them a lot.
Keep myself and my team in your prayers, as these next few weeks and months will be very difficult. Saying goodbye 3000-4000 times can be taxing.. also, our summer camp schedule should be crazy again. Fun, fun, fun. :P I'm looking forward to it, in some ways, but we could really use prayer for health, strength, and Christ's love.
Well, now you know I'm still alive, or at least more so than not.
Until I type again,
~Joel
